Rotten Row (2011)

Brenchley-RottenRow

Rotten Row’s set-up with transferred personalities and bodies worn and used like clothes seems interesting, but the story never clearly commits to any of the avenues open to it. Is it about the meaning of art, the foundations of identity when bodies are interchangeable or the world of Rotten Row with its population’s deadlocked exhibitionist nature? The ending goes for an ambiguous identity crash of its main character, but feels rather forced and inept instead of deep and meaningful.
