Private eye John Justin Mallory is down on his luck. His wife left with his partner, and some of their clients, having been tricked by his partner, are heading to Mallory’s office. Suddenly an elf from an alternate New York appears, asking him to find a unicorn which got lost. Like a typical detective story the case is much more complex than this. Mallory is the typical noir fiction hero, down on his look, disappointed in how easily criminals evade punishment, yet somehow still hoping that things can change. StU is as much the story of the lost unicorn, as it is the story of how Mallory gets to dish out some much needed good to even the scales of Justitia.
