A GameBoy shmup that is quite typical for the 8bit/16bit era. It has the obligatory space theme with a lone pilot fighting against an alien armada. The levels start with earth and become evermore alien until the final level takes place in deep space.
You collect different items for weapons, most of whom will feel familiar. The only distinctive element is that you can’t fly around on the screen nilly-willy, you have to remain on certain lanes and can merely hover over non-lane parts for a short time. What seems like a strange way to limit your movement in the first levels becomes more complicated later on, with the lane diminishing in size and farther apart than in earlier levels. Later you even have enemies that eat or grow lanes, so a bit of tactical thinking is advised to get any further.
The game is okay, though the controls could have been a bit more precise. And too often I felt like I had seen whole levels in other games. Apart from it’s lane-gimmick, there’s not much to distinguish the game from other shmups.
