Most reviews led me to believe I wouldn’t enjoy this and after already having been disappointed by the third X-Men movie, I wasn’t expecting much. Turns out it is a fun action movie. Not too much smarts there, but enough skill to make it entertaining from start to finish. It’s also rarely that a prequel manages to have such a satisfying ending without going all-out drama. There’s a bit of that there, but it’s slight and not too annoying. Mostly it’s about Wolverine fighting other high-powered mutants and seeding the elements for the second X-Men movie.
