Blood and Chocolate (2007)

Directed by Katja von Garnier
Imagine Underworld or Blade, just with action replaced by romance. Yes, BaC is a movie full of emo monsters, in this case werewolves. The story goes like this, a young comic artist (who does graphic novels and not comics) and a young werewolf girl fall in love and have to protect themselves against the leader of the werewolves (and his followers), who doesn’t want the young girl to get involved with anyone else than him (something about some stupid prophecy or some such).
Basically, I don’t think it’s a bad movie. If romance and emo is your thing, and if you like the whole vampire and werewolves as misunderstood creatures cliche, this probably will push all the right buttons for you. I can imagine ten years ago it might have pushed all the right buttons for me. Today I find it only mildly entertaining, sometimes watchable, but more often it’s far too predictable for my taste.
